You have successfully downloaded the App and registered your GeoPoll account. Congratulations! That’s the first step to taking part in important decisions and actions by brands, humanitarian organizations, governments, and many other entities that use GeoPoll data.
Now, as long as you have completed registration and made sure your App notifications are on, there’s nothing more you need to do. Just wait for tasks to start flowing as you have your fun in Community Polls! But, times happen when you may need to manage your account. Like if you forget your password, change phones, or experience any issue related to your account.
This article is for you – to ensure that you don’t get locked out of your account for any reason.
Changing your Phone Number
Say, you recently lost a SIM card, or decided to change your number of provider – does your GeoPoll account disappear with all your credit and surveys? No! We allow you to change your phone number to the new number and transfer all your account information.
We have limited the number of times you can change your GeoPoll number to only once because come on, how many times can one change their phone number! This also prevents fraud to keep the community safe and relevant.
To change your phone number, go to Settings > Change Number
Forgotten Account Password
Don’t panic if you ever forget your GeoPoll password. In the login page, click on “Forgot password?” If your phone number is correct, you will receive a Confirmation Code on your phone. This code will be your temporary password – key this in when prompted for a temporary password, then create a new password to proceed. It’s that easy!
Can’t Receive Confirmation Code
On some occasions, you may be signing up, or changing your password and not receive the confirmation code after several minutes. This may be due to a couple of reasons. The first check is if your phone number is correct and if you are generally receiving any SMS messages (network).
If all is well and you still don’t receive the confirmation code within thirty minutes, reach out to Support so we can check our systems and with your mobile operator.

Updating your profile
When you first register your GeoPoll account, you only fill a few details. Though not mandatory, you can maximize your App functionalities by updating your profile with more information such as your name and email address. Your name helps us personalize your experience, and your email address enables us to send you tips and occasional email surveys.
To update your profile, tap Settings > Update Profile
