Amharic Linguist - Transcription and Translation

GeoPoll is a mobile research and AI data company operating across more than 120 countries. We are expanding our Amharic audio work and need experienced linguists to start immediately.

What you will do

• Post-editing AI-generated transcripts for accuracy, completeness, and language quality 
• Utilize our designated transcription platform to perform transcription tasks. 
• Review and correct AI-generated transcriptions, ensuring accuracy and linguistic integrity to produce finalized, high-quality transcripts
• Translate, Review and correct AI translated text from native language to English on our designated translation platform.

What we are looking for

• Native or near-native Amharic.
• Strong written English.
• Prior transcription or translation experience, ideally with audio.
• Comfort working on web-based transcription and translation tools.
• High attention to detail and consistency across long files.
• A reliable computer, stable internet, and headphones.
• Availability to start now and handle consistent volume.

Engagement

• Freelance and fully remote.
• Paid per audio hour, based on task and experience.
• Immediate start, with ongoing work based on performance.
