The cell phone has become a platform for communication, even with previously mobile-shy regions of the world. Through a partnership with the first Pakistani mobile phone-based social network, Humari Awaaz (“Our Voice”), which will be available using the free SMS shortcode 7111, Mobile Accord has become able to speak to people previously unreached by previous survey methods.

The blend of technology and survey collection will allow SMS technology to build mobile-based networks around shared interests, themes and subjects.

The partnership between Mobile Accord and Humari Awaaz will create connections between families, friends, and between like-minded members of the community.

Among its achievements, Mobile Accord has been responsible for watershed mobile phone donation campaigns in the United States, raising more than USD $50 million for charitable organizations through its mGive platform, as well as mobile social networks connecting millions in developing countries.
