Position Overview
GeoPoll is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a mixed-methods data collection assignment in The Gambia. This project involves both quantitative household surveys and qualitative data collection (Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, and household in-depth cases) for an impact evaluation.
The Project Manager will play a central role in coordinating field implementation, managing local teams, ensuring quality assurance, and serving as a key point of contact for in-country operations. This role requires strong experience managing both quantitative and qualitative data collection in The Gambia or the surrounding region.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
- Represent GeoPoll during in-person client meetings in The Gambia and support the GeoPoll Program Director with regular updates on milestones and field operations.
- Develop and manage detailed workplans covering all required activities with realistic allocation of time and human resources.
- Coordinate closely with the Field and Data Manager (quantitative) and Lead Researcher (qualitative) to ensure seamless integration of both methodologies.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to meet contractual obligations.
Field Operations & Quality Assurance
- Oversee recruitment, training, and deployment of enumerators and facilitators across multiple field teams.
- Design and implement a robust field supervision plan, including regular spot checks aligned with the calendar of activities, sample size, and number of field teams.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and protocols for both individual and group interviews.
- Troubleshoot field challenges and adapt operations as needed to maintain data quality.
Data Management & Reporting
- Establish and enforce protocols for data collection, transmission, and quality checks.
- Ensure strict data security protocols are in place and followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee data coding procedures and ensure proper documentation of datasets.
- Contribute to the preparation of final reports and deliverables as required by the client.
