Questions about GeoPoll surveys
What is GeoPoll?
GeoPoll is a mobile surveying platform that conducts surveys through the mobile phone in conjunction with our partners around the world. When you sign up for GeoPoll you will be eligible to take GeoPoll surveys through our mobile application, SMS (text) messages, or through other modes such as web-based links. In exchange for your honest survey responses, GeoPoll provides airtime credit or incentives via other means. Information is anonymously collected, and we will never share your personally identifiable information.

Is it true you pay for surveys?
GeoPoll takes steps to ensure respondents have a good survey-taking experience, which includes providing monetary incentives for the majority of surveys we administer. Incentives are provided upon completion of GeoPoll surveys or other tasks in order to compensate respondents for their time.
GeoPoll currently offers incentives via airtime credit in select countries, PayPal in select countries and mobile money (MPESA) in Kenya, allowing us to provide incentives to respondents around the world.
How do I receive more surveys?
GeoPoll sends surveys to different GeoPoll users each day, so you may receive one survey and then not receive another for a few days. To ensure you continue to receive GeoPoll surveys, complete them promptly and answer questions to the best of your knowledge and honestly.
How do I opt out of GeoPoll Surveys?
If you wish to opt-out or unsubscribe from any GeoPoll service, please follow the below:
– SMS: text “STOP” to the GeoPoll shortcode used in your country
– Contact us at [email protected]
Click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any GeoPoll email

What is the GeoPoll app?
The GeoPoll application is a mobile app that allows users to take surveys and participate in other activities such as taking and submitting pictures, recording usage of other applications, and more, in exchange for airtime credit or incentive via other means. After installing the GeoPoll app, users should turn on notifications in order to be alerted when new tasks are available.
What can I do with my GeoPoll credit?
GeoPoll credit can be redeemed:
- As airtime credit in select countries
- As money in your PayPal account in select countries
- As mobile money (MPESA) in Kenya
What's the lowest amount that I can cashout?
The lowest price point is your country’s local currency equivalent of USD 0.5 on average. This amount may be higher depending on your mobile network and the means that you have selected to receive the incentive.
(Please note: If you have not earned sufficient GeoPoll Credit in your GeoPoll account fo the means that you have selected to cashout (e.g. Airtime), you will not be able to see that option available to you in ‘Redeem’)
How do I redeem my GeoPoll credit for airtime credit?
To redeem GeoPoll Credit to airtime credit, you will need to be a pre-paid subscriber and will need to have earned sufficient credit in your GeoPoll account
To redeem your credit:
1) Go to the app Menu (hamburger menu); this is available at the top-left
2) Select ‘My Earnings’
3) Click on ‘Redeem’
4) Select the amount you wish to redeem
(Please note: If you have not earned sufficient GeoPoll Credit in your GeoPoll account, you will not be able to see ‘Redeem’)
When will I receive my top up/airtime?
It could take up to 72 hours for the top-up/airtime to be processed
I completed a survey, but didn't receive my topup/airtime.
If there is an incentive for the poll, the amount is mentioned in the opt-in message. Some surveys don’t offer an incentive but this will be clearly communicated in the opt-in message that you receive at the beginning.

How do I report an issue with a GeoPoll survey?
To report an issue with your GeoPoll survey, including problems with airtime credit not being delivered within 72 hours, surveys dropping unexpectedly, or any other technical issue, please fill out the Contact Us form on the app.
My credit is pending
Give the credit up to 72 hours to reflect. Otherwise log out of your account then log back in to clear the pending credit.
The GeoPoll app is not loading
Please see if the following instructions resolve the issue:
1) Uninstall the app
2) On your phone, go to Settings, look for Storage and clear Cached data.
3) Once this is done, install the app again
If none of these work, contact GeoPoll support through the App.
Why am I ineligible for a survey?
Being ineligible for a survey doesn’t affect your eligibility for other surveys. Always ensure that you are responding honestly and that your responses are as accurate as possible. Learn more about ineligible surveys and other survey errors here
How can I change my phone number?
To change your phone number, on the app go to settings then select Change Number and follow the on-screen instructions.
I forgot my password?
You can reset your password by clicking “Forgot Password” on the login screen then following the on-screen instructions.
Do I receive credit for completing community polls?
The community polls allow users to engage with each other by asking/answering questions at no cost. This also means that there is no incentive offered for the polls in terms of GeoPoll credit.
I didn't receive my referral bonus
The referral bonus is awarded when users use your referral code during sign up.
Note, the referred users have to be registering for the first time for GeoPoll surveys which means that they cannot be an existing GeoPoll user.

Is there a cost to take GeoPoll SMS surveys?
GeoPoll’s Two-way SMS surveys are free of charge to the respondent.
When will I receive my reward?
SMS and Mobile web surveys are paid for immediately after completing the survey. However, it could take up to 72 hours for the top up/airtime to be processed. If it takes longer than that, feel free to contact us.
